happy groundhog day

February 2, 2011 / by admin

I’ve been up to my elbows in paint.  We finally tackled the massive project of painting over the lemon-yellow family room.  It really was a cheery yellow, and it was always very bright in there, which we loved, but it was also verrrry overpowering.  I say massive project because the walls needed lots of touching up and scraping and sanding, plus there are a lot of those walls, and lots of windows and trim to paint around.  I’m also a very slow painter.  Thankfully my mom came over and helped, speeding up the process immensely.  Thanks, mom!

A road trip to Ikea was also on the agenda.  How do we manage Ikea on a busy Saturday with three tiny babes, you ask?  The carts twirl very well on the floors, that’s about all I’ve got.

It was 67 degrees here today, but we’re back to cold starting tomorrow 🙁  Come on warm weather, I miss you so so much.  What’s the temp where you are?!

*Did the little bugger see his shadow?  I’m too lazy to go and look.*

Isn't IKEA great?! Those grocery type buggies are fantastic. What did you get?

We're usually a few degrees cooler than you guys, so we definitely got that "warm" spell as well. It is 8 degrees in St. Louis right now. No thank you.

Why is there something pointy growing out of that guy's head in the above picture?
